ridingEast View Riding Centre is a family owned and operated horse stable that provides horse experiences to people ages 8 and older. East View can accommodate groups of riders for family gatherings and business outings/team building exercises. It additionally welcomes groups of friendly riders. East View was established on the edge of the Ashdown Forest in 1984 and prides itself on spectacular hacks through the forest.

Ashdown National Forest is 6,500 acres of naturally beautiful countryside that is well known for producing spectacular views. It’s uniquely possible to enjoy a hack in Ashdown Forest regardless of weather. Beautiful rides through the forest are numerous and adventuresome with East View’s veteran team and horses.

Beginner, Novice, Intermediate, and Experienced riders are all welcome at East View. East view makes it easy for riders by giving clear definitions of what exactly is meant by the terms listed above.

Beginners are riders who have no ridding experience or have 1-2 short rides under their belt. “You may know how to sit on a horse, hold onto the reins, pull left and right, and apply pressure while directing your horse.”

Intermediate riders know how to walk, trot, canter, and possibly jump. Additionally, intermediate riders have started to learn advanced riding techniques.

Experienced riders fall after intermediates and have command of basic and advanced riding techniques.

East view has 15 horses that are available at most times of the year. Booking hours are between 9am and 6pm on Monday-Sunday, but rides are not offered on Wednesdays or Thursdays. East view’s website has a blog for past, present, and future events as well as daily and extended weather forecasts to help riders plan their trip. Additionally, potential clients can be introduced to East View’s horse by name and photograph.
